Key Concepts and Themes

--The historical significance of Galileo's observations of the Galilean 
satellites.

--Prior to this time, it was thought that the Earth could not move in orbit 
around the Sun without leaving the Moon behind.  These observations 
proved otherwise.

--KeplerŐs Third Law of Motion can be demonstrated by the observed 
motions of the moons.
